Coachbox feels slow

If Coachbox feels slow, the cause is usually not Coachbox itself but your local environment (browser, extensions, or network). Work through the steps below to find the cause.

Step-by-step

Step 1: Test your internet speed

Run a speed test at speedtest.net to rule out a slow internet connection. A slow or unstable connection causes long load times in any web app, not just Coachbox.

Step 2: Open Coachbox in a private/incognito window

Open a new incognito or private window and log in to Coachbox again. Extensions are disabled by default in such a window.

  • Does Coachbox feel fast here? Then a browser extension is the cause. Continue with step 3.
  • Still slow? Skip step 3 and continue with step 4.

Step 3: Disable browser extensions

Disable your extensions one by one and reload Coachbox after each change. This way you find which extension is the culprit.

Common offenders:

  • Norton WebSafe / Norton Safe Web
  • Ad blockers (uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus)
  • VPN or privacy extensions
  • Script blockers (NoScript, Ghostery)

Step 4: Try a different browser

Test Coachbox in another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari) to rule out browser-specific problems. If Coachbox is fast in another browser, the issue is in the settings or cache of your original browser.

Step 5: Clear cache and cookies

A stale cache can cause slow load times. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then log in again. Note that you will be signed out of other websites as well.

Step 6: Restart your device

Close unnecessary programs and tabs, then restart your computer or phone. Too many open applications or tabs can slow down your device.

Step 7: Check your network

  • On WiFi? Try a wired connection or move closer to the router.
  • Test on a different network (for example, a mobile hotspot) to rule out network-specific problems.
  • Temporarily disable any active VPN and try again.
