Sending workouts to Polar

It is currently not possible to send planned workouts from Coachbox to a Polar device. The Polar Flow integration is one-way only: completed workouts from your Polar watch are automatically imported into Coachbox.

Why doesn't this work like Garmin or Wahoo?

The Polar integration uses Polar AccessLink, Polar's official API. This API allows external platforms to retrieve completed workouts, but does not provide an endpoint to push planned or structured workouts to the watch or to Polar Flow.

As long as Polar does not offer this functionality in their AccessLink API, we cannot build an automatic export. This is a limitation on Polar's side, not on Coachbox's side.

What are the alternatives?

Viewing the workout in Coachbox

Your athlete can always view the planned workout in the Coachbox mobile app or the web version. During the workout, the athlete can follow the blocks there and execute them manually on the Polar device.

Use a Garmin, Wahoo or compatible device

If automatic delivery of planned workouts to the device is important, the following devices do support this:

What does work with Polar?

Syncing completed workouts from Polar Flow to Coachbox works fully. Once your athlete connects their Polar Flow account, all new workouts are automatically imported, including activity data.

More info about setting up the connection can be found in Setting up synchronization.
