Questions with a condition

A form stays short when questions only appear when they apply.

On every field and section you can set a condition with Add condition: the field then only appears for a certain answer to an earlier choice question. Example: "Date of sports medical check" only appears when the athlete answers "Yes" to "Had a sports medical check?". A condition on a section applies to every field up to the next section.

Setting a condition

  1. Open the form under Account > Forms and click the field or section
  2. Click Add condition
  3. Choose the earlier question it depends on
  4. Tick the answers for which the field should appear, and save

The field list then shows an icon next to the field, with the condition in its tooltip. Fields under a section with a condition are indented.

Only choice questions can drive a condition: a dropdown, radio buttons, multiple choice, a checkbox, sex, level and the choice fields from Metrics, such as general feeling or stress. The question has to sit above the field that depends on it; if you drag it below, the form cannot be saved until you put it back.

Good to know

  • Hidden questions do not count as required, and their answer is cleared when the form is submitted.
