Getting started
Races
The races module is where you plan and manage every race that you or your athletes participate in. You can add races from an athlete profile or from the general races overview.
Opening the races overview
There are two places where you can find races:
- On an athlete: in the athlete profile sidebar, click Races. You see every race this athlete is participating in.
- General overview (coach): via Races in the main navigation you land on
All races, listing every race your athletes participate in.
At the top of the overview you can switch between Upcoming races and Completed races, and search using the search bar.
Adding a race
From an athlete profile
- Open the athlete profile and click Races in the sidebar.
- Click Add race.
- In the Choose race dialog, a list of existing races appears. Tick one or more races to add the athlete to them and click Save.
- Is the race not in the list? Click Add new race at the bottom to create one.
From the general overview
- Go to Races in the main navigation.
- Click Add race in the top right. The form opens directly.
Creating a new race
In the form you fill in:
- Name (required): the name of the race.
- Date (required): the date the race takes place.
- Country: the country where the race is held.
- Website: optional link to the official race page.
- Compose a race: add a block per discipline (swim, bike, run, strength) with the distance. For a triathlon, use three blocks in the correct order. Use Choose race type to load a preset structure (for example, a half triathlon).
- Participating athletes (coaches only): select which athletes participate in this race.
Click Save to store the race. It appears in the overview of every selected athlete and on the correct date in the calendar.
Good to know
- Different lists in "Add race": in the Choose race dialog (from an athlete profile) you see races created by you or by fellow coaches of that athlete. From your own coach profile, the same dialog only shows races you created yourself, because a coach has no other coaches linked to them. In teams with multiple coaches this difference can stand out. Races missing from your own list are still available the moment you select them from an athlete.
- One race, multiple athletes: a race you create for one athlete can be linked to other athletes through Participating athletes, so you do not have to create it again.
- Races in the annual planning: a planned race automatically appears in the Races column of the athlete's annual planning.
