The getting-started checklist

The getting-started checklist walks you through the first steps that make Coachbox useful, so you reach your first planned workout, your first synced training, and a working setup without hunting for where everything lives. It tracks your progress as you go, so you always see what is done and what is left.

Where to find it

After you finish onboarding, a black Getting started button appears in the bottom-right corner of the app, next to the Coachbox AI orb. Click it to open the Discover Coachbox panel with your checklist.

The button stays available on every page, so you can pick up where you left off at any time.

What's on your checklist

The items you see depend on your role, so nobody gets a step that doesn't apply to them.

Coaches

Your checklist has two phases:

  • Explore for yourself: get to know the product on your own calendar first. Plan a workout, set training zones, open the annual plan and the statistics, and meet the Coachbox AI coach.
  • Go live: set up for real work. Invite your first athlete, invite a colleague, connect a device, complete your personal profile, and complete your business profile (your organisation's name and invoicing address on the account page).

Self-coaching athletes

You get the same Explore for yourself phase. The Go live phase keeps only the personal steps (connect a device, complete your profile), because you manage no athletes or colleagues.

Athletes

Your checklist is a single Set up your account phase with the steps that get your own account ready: complete your profile, add a photo, set your preferences (units and timezone), connect a device, and get your first training in.

How items get checked off

There are two kinds of items:

  • Automatic: these tick themselves once you have done the action anywhere in Coachbox. Connect a device and the "Connect a device" step completes on its own; the checklist reads your real account, so if you later undo the action the step reopens.
  • Manual: a few steps have no reliable signal (for example setting your preferences, since units and a timezone already have defaults). You mark these done yourself.

Every item has an Open link on the right that takes you straight to the right page. For manual items, using Open also ticks the item for you.

Where a help article exists for a step, a small (i) icon sits next to its name and links here to the knowledge base. The Learn more link at the top of the panel brings you to this article.

Hiding it and bringing it back

Once you are comfortable, you can hide the checklist:

  1. Hover the Getting started button and click the small ×, or open the panel and choose Hide checklist at the bottom.
  2. Confirm. This hides the checklist and its launcher button entirely.

To bring it back, open Settings from the top-right menu and select Re-enable checklist. The button returns to the bottom-right corner with your progress intact.

Good to know

  • Your progress is saved to your account, so it follows you across devices and browsers.
  • Hiding the checklist never deletes anything: every completed step stays completed when you re-enable it.
  • Automatic steps always reflect your real setup. An item can reopen if you remove what completed it (for example, disconnecting your only device).
