Daily metrics

If you have connected several platforms that sync daily metrics (steps, resting heart rate, active minutes, sleep, ...), you choose in Coachbox which platform we pull that data from.

Why do I have to choose?

Different devices measure your daily metrics, and the values don't always match. Coachbox therefore pulls daily metrics from one chosen platform, so you don't end up with conflicting or duplicate numbers.

For example: you train with a Garmin, but you wear your Polar all day. You probably want your steps, active minutes and resting heart rate to come from Polar, even though your workouts are on Garmin.

Important: this is only about daily metrics

This choice only decides where your daily metrics come from. Your workouts are not affected: they still come in from the platform you recorded the activity with, regardless of this setting.

Choosing the platform

  1. Go to SettingsSynchronisation.
  2. Under Metrics the choice appears once you have connected more than one platform with metrics support.
  3. Pick the platform you wear day to day.

The choice takes effect immediately. You can change it any time you switch devices. You will find it both on the web and in the Coachbox app, and only you can change it: your coach cannot set this for you.

Metrics or health data not coming in?

Don't see your daily metrics or health data (steps, sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, ...) show up, even though your workouts come in fine? Your metrics source is probably still set to a device you no longer wear.

For example: you once connected a Polar, but you now train with a Garmin. As long as Polar stays selected as the metrics source, Coachbox ignores the health data your Garmin sends.

Go to SettingsSynchronisationMetrics and pick the device you wear day to day now. From then on your metrics come in from the right platform.
