Tacx
If you train on a Tacx trainer, your planned Coachbox workouts are ready for you in the Tacx Training app and your finished rides come back into Coachbox on their own. You do not need a separate Tacx connection: Tacx is a Garmin brand, so the Garmin connection handles both directions.
What you need
- An active Garmin connection in your synchronisation settings.
- The Tacx Training app, signed in with the same Garmin account as your connection.
Planned workouts in the Tacx Training app
The Tacx Training app shows the cycling workouts from your Garmin Connect account. Every structured power workout Coachbox sends to Garmin therefore appears in the app, ready to ride in ERG mode.
Coachbox pushes your next upcoming workouts to Garmin automatically. To send one yourself, open the workout and click the Garmin icon next to Export in the "Planned workout" block.
Completed rides back in Coachbox
When you finish, the Tacx Training app uploads your ride to Garmin Connect. From there the activity flows into Coachbox through the Garmin connection, usually within a few minutes. You do not have to export or upload anything yourself.
Good to know
- The Tacx Training app works with cycling workouts. Running workouts from Coachbox do not appear in it.
- Your Tacx trainer is a regular smart trainer: you can also ride it in Zwift or Rouvy through those connections.
- If a workout is missing in the Tacx app, first check whether it is in Garmin Connect. If it is there, the issue is in the sync between Garmin and the Tacx app, not in Coachbox.
